Starts at dusk on the San Bernard River

On Saturday, December 10th, the San Bernard River Christmas Boat Parade begins at dusk at the FM 521 McNeill bridge (#1 viewing area) and ends at the judges station at the High Five Bar and Grill, 6484 CR 659 (#4 viewing area).   The Friends Of the River San Bernard Community Center (#2 viewing area), located at 20450 CR 510-B in Holiday Shores Subdivision, will be open to the public for parade viewing during the parade. Free cookies, hot chocolate and coffee will be served. Other public viewing area is the Churchill bridge boat ramp on FM 2611 (#3 viewing area).   WIN A DIGITAL SMOKER!!!   In recognition of this years’ 25th boat parade anniversary, a boat participant winner and a home entry participate winner will receive a digital smoker.

 

The boats will be judged in 3 categories: 23’ and under, 24’-30’ and 31’ and over. Entry Form

 

The river-front houses will be judged in 2 categories:  100’ river frontage and under and 101’ river frontage and over. Don’t forget to light the houses Friday night December 9th and Saturday night December 10th for the pictures and judging. The river front home lights are appreciated all throughout the holidays. If you are interested in entering your boat or house, you are invited to attend a Captain’s meeting at 2J’s Seafood House on December 8th at 7:00 p.m.

 

On Sunday, December 11th, all boat parade crews and home decorating participants are invited to a complimentary noon Fajita Feast with all the trimmings at the home of Nelson and Vanessa Taylor, 2909 CR 604, where door prizes will be given and the boat parade and home decorating winners will be announced. In addition, the winners of the 25th anniversary prize smokers will be drawn.
